NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED SEWER RATES AND CHARGES OF THE TERRE HAUTE SANITARY DISTRICT Property owners, ratepayers and other interested parties in or served or to be served by the sewage works of the Terre Haute Sanitary District (the "Sanitary District") of the City of Terre Haute, Indiana ("City") are hereby notified that at the September 28, 2016 meeting of the Board of Sanitary Commissioners of the Sanitary District (the"Board"), the Board introduced proposed Resolution No. 10, 2016 which increases the rates and charges for the Sanitary District's sewer utility. The Board will hold a public hearing on October 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. local time in the First Floor Board of Works Conference Room, City Hall, located at 17 Harding Avenue, Terre Haute, Indiana, in order to receive public input on such Resolution and will consider adoption thereof at such time. For further information regarding the proposed Resolution, please contact Mr. Chuck Ennis, P.E., City Engineer, at (812)244-4903. The schedule of fees which are more fully set forth in the Resolution and will be discussed at the October 11, 2016 hearing are as follows: a.The rate for water used or sewage discharged shall be: Nine Dollars and Eighty Four Cents ($9.84) per one hundred (100) cubic feet. b.The minimum charge for any user per month or quarter according to the billing period shall be: Thirty Dollars and Eighty Cents ($30.80) except that in the event the user is not a metered water customer, the minimum charge shall be determined by means and methods satisfactory to the City. c.All domestic non-commercial non-industrial users with non-metered water source shall pay a flat fee per month of: Fifty Six Dollars and Eighty Six Cents ($56.86). At the October 11, 2016 meeting of the Board and prior to final adoption of Resolution No. 10, 2016 any property owners, ratepayers or anyone else interested in the proceedings may appear and be heard concerning the proposed rates and charges. The hearing may be adjourned if necessary. A complete copy of the Resolution may be reviewed in the Sanitary District's office at City Hall, 17 Harding Avenue, Room 200, Terre Haute, Indiana.
